Entrepreneur and philanthropist King Ifeanyichiukwu Oruruo has unveiled a four-day empowerment initiative valued at $28.8 billion, aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, investment, tourism, manufacturing, sports, fashion, innovation, and talent development across Nigeria.

The program, tagged “I Ga Eso Welu?” (Will You Join and Partake?), will take place from September 28 to October 1, 2026, at Nnewi High School in Anambra State.

Speaking at a press conference in Nnewi, Oruruo, who is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Living Capital Limited, said the initiative is designed to showcase Nigeria’s economic and creative potential while creating opportunities for entrepreneurs and young people.

According to him, the project aims to create 500,000 jobs, particularly for unemployed youths, through entrepreneurship, investment linkages, skills development, and business networking.

The event will feature activities across manufacturing, agriculture, technology, architecture, tourism, fashion, sports, arts, food exhibitions, trade, and talent discovery.

Oruruo said the programme’s mission is to promote a new vision for Nigeria driven by innovation, enterprise, and sustainable development. The initiative will begin with the “I Ga Eso Welu Road Show,” which is expected to tour 55 cities across the country.

He encouraged small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), manufacturers, investors, government agencies, educational institutions, traders, and professionals to participate, highlighting the importance of science, technology, and innovation in driving economic growth.

The initiative consists of seven major components, including a job fair, trade fair, talent showcase, innovation exhibition, tourism promotion, investment forum, and a national orientation campaign.

Oruruo explained that Nnewi was selected as the inaugural host because of its reputation as Nigeria’s industrial and automobile hub.

As part of the programme, sporting competitions will be held in 16 disciplines, including football, basketball, athletics, boxing, cycling, swimming, wrestling, golf, lawn tennis, and archery, with cash prizes and opportunities to advance to national competitions.

Participants will also take guided tours across communities in the Nnewi area to promote cultural heritage, tourism, and investment opportunities. Activities will be broadcast live using drones and multiple cameras to reach audiences within and outside Nigeria.

According to Oruruo, the initiative is funded by Living Capital Limited and its development partners as a social investment focused on expanding employment opportunities and driving economic development rather than generating profit.
