SAN ANTONIO — A man was shot and killed in his driveway Saturday morning on the South Side after police say he was targeted by his girlfriend’s son.
Fire and EMS officials were dispatched around 8:25 a.m. to a residence located at 505 Bristol Avenue. Police say when they arrived on scene, they found a man lying in front of the home, with multiple gunshot wounds to his back and head.
The victim’s girlfriend told police her son may have gotten angry with the victim because he believed the man was physically abusing her and his daughter, which the victim denied.
She tried to warn the victim that her son was on his way to the home and advised him to leave. It’s unclear if the victim attempted to flee before the confrontation.
The suspect then pulled up to the home in a dark colored SUV and may have confronted the victim in the driveway, where he was shot. Police say they have an idea of where the suspect is and are working to finalize a location. The victim’s age and identity is not known at this time.
