Even though neither the House or Senate races in Arizona Legislative District 9 this year are competitive in the primary cycle, it’s clear fundraising is coming from very different types of sources.
Required finance reports filed this month for the second quarter — April 1 to June 30 — provide an updated picture of how each candidate intends to win a seat in the general election on Nov. 3.
District 9 encompasses parts of west Mesa and east Tempe, along with a section of the neighboring Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community — all within Maricopa County.
