SAN ANTONIO – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle early Saturday morning after police say he was running across the northbound lanes of IH-35.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:40 a.m. in the 6000 block of IH-35 N near the Eisenhauer Road exit.
Police say they received reports about a man darting across lanes about an hour before the fatal crash, but were unable to locate him. The next call police received was the driver reporting they had struck the man. Police say the man attempted to dodge the truck but wasn’t fast enough. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. The victim’s age and identity has not been released at this time.
