Little Fire: Evacuation orders issued for fire burning near Pleasanton in Alameda County
SUNOL, Calif. —
A vegetation fire burning near Pleasanton in Alameda County on Tuesday has prompted mandatory evacuations.
The Little Fire sparked at 3:39 p.m. in the area of Vallecitos Road and Little Valley Road in Sunol, south of Pleasanton, Cal Fire said.
One firefighter has been hurt, according to Cal Fire.

As of 10 p.m., it had burned more than 1,000 acres and containment was 10%.
Areas under evacuation orders include neighborhoods in Pleasanton with homes.

The Alameda County Office of Emergency Services said a temporary shelter was set up at the Pleasanton Senior Center. Other lodging resources are available through the Tri-Valley program.

Evacuation Orders will remain in effect throughout the evening for zones PLS-080, PLS-081, and PLS-103 due to the Little Fire in Sunol and City of Pleasanton.
