JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Riverside Avenue and Forest Street in Jacksonville’s Brooklyn neighborhood could soon see parallel parking as a part of a proposed street project, according our news partners at the Jacksonville Daily Record.

Jacksonville City Council member Jimmy Peluso is a supporter of the project, which would eliminate lanes on Riverside Avenue, Forest Street, and Monroe Street while increasing safety measures for pedestrians and bicyclists.

The project is the topic of a special meeting set for Thursday at 5:40 in the Lynwood Roberts Meeting Room at City Hall. The meeting will include an open house where participants can see project plans and speak with city officials, a presentation and a public comment session.
