NASCAR driver runs paint scheme promoting Bananas’ broadcast network debut

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – NASCAR went Bananas on Saturday.

In order to celebrate the broadcast network debut of the Savannah Bananas, the team and The CW partnered with Viking Motorsports in NASCAR’s Xfinity Series.

Driver Matt DiBenedetto sported a Bananas paint scheme on the No. 99 car in the race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It helped lead DiBenedetto to an eleventh place finish, which is tied for his second best all season.

DiBenedetto will also be throwing out the first pitch at the Bananas game on Sunday in Philadelphia. The game will be broadcast on The CW at 3 p.m.
