PHOENIX (AZFamily) — If you’re hitting the freeway this weekend, expect delays.
The Arizona Department of Transportation has scheduled several closures and lane restrictions across the Valley from Friday night, July 24, through early Monday morning, July 27.
Phoenix
Southbound Loop 101 Price will be fully closed between Loop 202 and Rio Salado Parkway in Tempe from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
According to ADOT, on-ramps at Thomas, McDowell and McKellips roads will close at 8 p.m.
Drivers should use southbound Scottsdale Road or Alma School Road as alternate routes. Heavy delays are expected.
Northbound State Route 51 will narrow to two lanes between Northern Avenue and Shea Boulevard from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Drivers should use northbound I-17 as an alternate.
Eastbound Loop 303 will close between 43rd Avenue and Interstate 17 in north Phoenix from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Use 43rd Avenue north to Dove Valley Road east to reach I-17.
East Valley
Eastbound Loop 202 Santan will close between Gilbert Road and Williams Field Road from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Drivers can use northbound Gilbert Road to eastbound Williams Field Road to get around the closure.
The westbound I-10 ramp to eastbound Loop 202 will close from 9 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.
South of the Valley
As part of ongoing asphalt paving work, State Route 347 will see nightly lane restrictions in both directions between I-10 and Riggs Road from Friday, July 24, through Monday, July 27.
- Southbound lanes will narrow to one lane from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Northbound lanes will narrow to one lane from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Intermittent intersection restrictions will also be in place at Old Maricopa Road during daytime and nighttime hours beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, July 24, through noon on Sunday, July 26.
