Eddie Brock is Venom again as Marvel relaunches the series.

“Eddie Brock and Venom are reunited — and it feels so good! After years apart, once again they are Venom, and Eddie is not going to let this opportunity go to waste,” reads Marvel’s description of Venom Volume 7. “He is determined to be the ultimate host for the symbiote and be the hero he knows he can be…and he’s not going to let any other super heroes say otherwise!”
Soule has been circling Venom for some time now, writing the current Queen in Black: Venom Unchained limited series, as well as a recent issue of the previous volume of Venom, and Amazing Spider-Man/Venom: Death Spiral – Body Count. And he has been the main writer of Eddie Brock for some time now, with the concluded Eddie Brock: Carnage series.
Reading between the lines of Marvel’s description of the all-new Venom series, it sounds like Venom will continue to be the anti-hero we know and love him best for, finding himself more at odds with superheroes rather than super villains.
As for what will happen to Venom’s current host, Mary Jane Watson, she’s going back to her Hollywood roots in a new series titled Friendly Neighborhood Mary Jane.
Venom (Vol. 7) #1 debuts this October.
