DALLAS (KLTV) – The State Fair of Texas announced a partnership with Cavender’s for Big Tex’s new look at this year’s State Fair of Texas.
The State Fair of Texas announced their partnership with Cavender’s on the signature shirt worn by Big Tex. Cavender’s, based in Tyler, is one of the largest Western wear retailers in the nation. Cavender’s also significantly invests in Western athletes and rodeos across Texas.
“The State Fair of Texas is one of the most recognizable traditions in our state, so being asked to become the Official Western Wear Store of Big Tex is incredibly special for our team,” said Jennifer Green, Cavender’s Senior Manager of Community Partnerships. “Big Tex has welcomed generations of Texans to the Fair, and we’re honored to play a small part in that tradition by collaborating on his new signature shirt.”
This is Cavender’s first year as the Official Western Store of Big Tex, a title held by Dickies for the last few decades. This change occurred after Dickies moved their corporate headquarters from Texas to California in May of last year.
Fair goers can see Big Tex’s new look at the 2026 State Fair of Texas, running Sept. 25 through Oct 18.
