Four people were shot, including a mother and her daughter, in a deadly shooting in Nicetown, and another person was critically hurt in a separate shooting in North Philadelphia on Saturday night, police said.
The quadruple shooting occurred at the 1900 block of West Hunting Park Avenue at around 8:24 p.m., where a 7-year-old girl was grazed in side of her head, and the girl’s mother, a 26-year-old woman, was also taken to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
They are both listed in stable condition.
The two other victims in the shooting, a 29-year-old and a 26-year-old, were both taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds as well.
The 29-year-old is listed in critical condition and the 26-year-old was pronounced dead at the hospital at around 8:37 p.m., police said.
Around ten minutes before the quadruple shooting, another shooting took place at the 100 block of West Tioga Street, where a 42-year-old man was shot multiple times and taken to the hospital, where he is listed in critical condition, police said.
No arrests have been made in either shooting and no motives have been given, but Philadelphia police are investigating both shootings as separate incidents.
