PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man’s body was found in South Mountain Park on Saturday, according to officials with the Phoenix Police Department.
Police got a call about a possible dead body around 5 p.m. near National Trail. Police found the body during a search of the area.
No immediate signs of foul play were found, police said, and the death investigation is ongoing. Phoenix Fire Department crews are helping to recover the body, police officials said.
How the man died will be determined by the Office of the Medical Examiner, officials said.
