The NYPD is looking for suspects who assaulted people on Manhattan trains on two separate, unrelated occasions.

The first incident occurred on June 17 on the southbound 6 train platform at the 125th Street subway station. At 10:05 a.m. that morning, a 49-year-old man was on the platform when he was approached by an unknown man. The suspect proceeded to make a threatening statement and stabbed the victim in the arm.

The suspect then fled the scene on foot to parts unknown. The victim was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem by paramedics in stable condition.

The NYPD released photos and a video of the suspect, who is described as a man wearing a black jacket, black pants, black and white sneakers, a black baseball cap, carrying a black bookbag.

In a separate, unrelated incident, it was reported to police that at 4:30 p.m. on July 23, that while riding a northbound 5 train approaching the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall station, a 19-year-old man and an unknown suspect got into a verbal dispute. The fight escalated, with the suspect proceeding to hit the victim in the metal water bottle repeatedly. The suspect then punched the victim in the face multiple times and placed him in a chokehold.

The suspect then exited the train at the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall station and fled on foot to parts unknown. The victim went to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue by private means in stable condition.

The NYPD released surveillance photos taken of the suspect:

Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or on X @NYPDTips. All calls are strictly confidential.
