Boeheim’s Army vs. La Familia Preview
Boeheim’s Army and La Familia clinched positions in the tournament alumni semifinals after securing series victories over their respective rivals from Seton Hall and Louisville this week.
The Syracuse alumni completed an opening-round sweep with an 81-76 win in front of a home crowd that included former coach Jim Boeheim and Carmelo Anthony. Tyson Walker anchored the Syracuse victory by scoring 15 points and providing 10 assists, leading a balanced performance where all five starters reached double-digit scoring.
Kentucky’s alumni squad secured its advancement Wednesday by defeating the Louisville alumni 63-57 in a decisive Game 3. Archie Goodwin paced the Kentucky victory with 22 points in his first game of the tournament, hitting the game-clinching shot during the Elam Ending to eliminate the Louisville alumni.
