Jacksonville City Council is scheduled to meet by 7 p.m. today in the Municipal Building, 200 W. Douglas Ave.
The council meeting will be preceded by a 6 p.m. workshop, during which there will be a pinning ceremony for the Jacksonville Police Department,
an annual water and sewer update from Benton & Associates, discussion of an amendment to the contract between the city and waste hauler GFL Environmental, discussion of a collective bargaining agreement with Laborers International Union Local 477, and discussion of an Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development grant.
The council will also meet in closed session before the meeting to discuss property acquisition.
