Crews from Vermont and New York work together to extinguish boat fire on Lake Champlain
A boat fire on Lake Champlain triggered a rescue operation that involved crews from Vermont and New York over the weekend.
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. —
Multiple fire departments from Vermont and New York responded to Lake Champlain Saturday afternoon after a boat caught fire. Officials said the boat was heading toward Valcour Island. All of the occupants got off the vessel safely. The U.S. Coast Guard in Burlington also provided assistance.
