New York State is projected to spend more than $500 billion on infrastructure improvements to help communities prepare for the impacts of climate change, according to some of the latest research.

Rebuild by Design, a nonprofit, shows that without the funds, New Yorkers could face higher costs in the form of tax increases, insurance hikes and home repairs.

Amy Chester, director of Rebuild by Design, joined “The Rush Hour” on Monday to talk more about the research and the need for infrastructure.
