LAS VEGAS, Nev. (KPTV) – The Portland Fire headed down to Las Vegas on Tuesday for their third game of the regular season against the Aces.
Tuesday’s game will be the Fire’s first since the break for WNBA All Star weekend, where Bridget Carleton made an appearance in the three-point contest.
The Aces are 2-0 against the Fire this season, and are third in the league behind the Golden State Valkyries and Minnesota Lynx.
The Fire currently sit in ninth place in the league standings, 3.5 games back behind the Washington Mystics and a playoff berth.
Portland have just 18 games left to close that gap, and will be without one of their key players for the rest of the season as Sarah Ashlee Barker recovers from tearing her ACL on July 22.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas and on Rose City SportsNet. Tune in half an hour early for the Fire Courtside Live pregame show.
