SAN ANTONIO – More than 25 units were called out to for a massive two-alarm fire on the North Side that spread to nearby home.
The fire started just before 4 a.m. Sunday at a home off Duffield Street near Interstate 10.
Initial crews arrived to find the main home fully engulfed in flames. The flames then began spreading to a nearby home. Both appear to be unoccupied.
Crews launched an aggressive attack to contain the fire, but it took well into Sunday morning for firefighters to knock down the flames in the second home.
Officials have not reported any injuries at this time. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
