PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Every week, Arizona’s Family looks up restaurants recently inspected by Maricopa County’s Environmental Services Department. Restaurants with some of the highest numbers of “risk factors,” considered major health code violations by inspectors, are selected for our Dirty Dining Report. Here are the Valley restaurants that did not make the grade for July 29, 2026:
Carniceria Guasave – 3632 W McDowell Rd, Phoenix
3 violations:
- No certified food manager on duty
- Cooked Pork Belly not kept hot enough
- Ham and hot dogs in the meat case not kept cold enough
Carniceria El Herradero – 1416 E Broadway Road, Mesa
3 violations:
- No hand wash station at grilling station
- Pans of cooked pork out of temperature
- Insecticide spray in food prep room
Hokkaido Sushi and Asian Bistro -7707 E McDonald Road, Scottsdale
3 violations:
- 2 containers of crab mix sitting at room temperature
- Condiment bottles in ice of soda dispenser
- Cooked beef and dumplings stored in grocery bags
Barro’s Pizza -1939 E Baseline Road, Gilbert
3 violations:
- Employee drinks stored in prep tables
- Employee wearing gloves touched clothing then handled food
- Pepperoni and shredded cheese not kept cold enough
Domino’s Pizza – 25 W Warner Rd, Chandler
3 violations:
- Employee handled phone then went to make pizza
- No paper towels at hand wash sink
- Pasta and cheese not cold enough
