The AMC franchise was launched with the debut of the first season of Interview with the Vampire in 2022. The show wrapped up its last season last year. The second Immortal Universe series, Mayfair Witches, debuted in early 2023 with its second season finishing up back in March of this year. Mayfair Witches also has a third season in the works. Talamasca: The Secret Order was first announced in 2023, described as a show that will feature “the men and women responsible for tracking and containing the witches, vampires, werewolves and other creatures scattered around the globe.”
“This all started for me with a call from Mark Johnson, who asked if I’d ever heard of The Talamasca. I was intrigued by the idea of an organization that, to me, had more than a passing resemblance to the CIA or MI6, which are necessary but not always necessarily transparent. An organization with its own secrets,” John Lee Hancock, who serves as co-showrunner alongside Mark Lafferty, said when the show was ordered to series in a statement.
Lafferty continued, “When John told me about a clandestine organization in the Immortal Universe with its own hidden agendas, I was immediately hooked.”
Talamasca: The Secret Order will premiere on AMC and AMC+ on Sunday, Oct. 26, at 9 pm ET/PT. The freshman season will consist of six episodes.
