2024 NASCAR Berco Redwood Late Model champion Kenna Mitchell of Loomis earned her first win of the 2025 campaign while Rocklin’s Tony Hunt triumphed in the return of NCMA Sprint Car action to Roseville, highlighting an exciting NASCAR Midsummer Classic at All American Speedway on Saturday night. Nearly 300 laps of action took place on the one-third mile speedway with a lively crowd in attendance.

The Berco Redwood Late Model 50-lap feature kicked off with second in points Joey Kennealy of Madera driving around the outside of Mill Valley’s Monty Tipton for the lead. Mitchell took over second on lap nine then worked to track down Kennealy.

Mitchell drove to the rear bumper of Kennealy by lap 16, then overhauled him for the top spot on lap 21. Kellen Keller spun in turn one for the event’s lone caution on lap 45. Mitchell won a side-by-side battle with Kennealy on the restart to clinch the victory and take a trip to victory lane. Kennealy settled for a season-best second followed by Fort Bragg’s Trey Daniels in third. Clovis’ Shelden Cooper won a back and forth battle with Tipton for fourth as well.

NCMA Sprint Cars made their first All American Speedway appearance in two years but made it count with a thrilling 30-lap feature. Former BCRA Midget champion John Sarale of Stockton, substituting for Folsom’s Jerry Kobza, led the way with challenges from ten-time USAC champion Tony Hunt and Fair Oaks’ Shauna Hogg. The trio briefly went three-wide for the top spot in turn four. Sarale then spun out of the lead in turn four for a caution on lap 11.

Hogg and Hunt dueled on the restart before Hunt used a crossover to take the lead on lap 13. Hunt fended off Hogg through an additional restart for Tylor Amador of Ceres spinning. Hunt persevered for his fifth win of a perfect season in NCMA competition. Hogg finished second followed by Sacramento’s David Dias, Dan Gonderman of Antioch, and Tony Amador at the checkered flag.

The INEX NorCal Legend Series brought 23 cars to All American Speedway for a 50-lap INEX National qualifier, with the winner stamping their ticket to the main events of the 2025 asphalt nationals in Las Vegas. Washington’s Ellie Musgrave led over a pack of numerous winners and champions. Defending series champion Brandon White of Eureka took over control on lap four. Musgrave battled back on the top side to lead lap six.

Lincoln’s Brody Manning spun in turn four to bring out the caution flag on lap eight. White capitalized to retake the lead on the restart. Rocklin’s Robby Czub drove into second by lap 24 then turned his attention to White. Ukiah’s Cole Brown spun on lap 29 which led to a prolonged red flag for fluid. Czub stormed past White on the restart in the decisive passing move for the event. White settled for second followed by Henderson, Nevada’s Tanner Reif, double-duty racer Trey Daniels, and series points leader Kai Lovell.

A season-best ten NAPA Auto Parts Super Stocks participated in a special event paying $600 to the winner. Multi-time champion Josh Whitfield of Roseville returned to the speedway and went toe-to-toe with 2025 points leader Tim Walters of Dixon. Walters led the first eight laps before Whitfield took over on the outside on lap nine. The duo raced side-by-side for several laps.

Woodland’s Jayden Williams spun in turn four and was hit hard by Mario Davis of Rocklin. Both drivers were uninjured. Whitfield led the final two laps in a green-white-checkered sprint to the win. Walters finished second followed by Eric Bocksberger of Lincoln, Dean Wilkins of Roseville, and Williams.

John Sproule of Orangevale continued a perfect season in F4 competition by taking his fourth feature of the 2025 season. Sproule held the lead despite a challenge from Vic Theberge of Citrus Heights. Theberge and multi-time champion Ray Molina then went back and forth for second, before contact sent Molina spinning in turn two and relegated both drivers to the rear of the field on lap 24.

Sproule held off Stockton’s Barret Sugden over subsequent restarts before Molina charged back into the picture. Jerry Nunes and Tony Davis suffered a spectacular crash with Nunes car riding the front stretch wall, bringing the race to its conclusion three laps early. Sproule topped Molina, Sugden, Thomas Cherry, and Vicki Theberge.

Tyler Wentworth of Rocklin won his third Berco Modified feature of 2025 on Saturday night. Former Super Stock champion Andrew Peeler led the first half of the main event, then Wentworth took control on lap 15. Peeler ran a strong second in just his second career start. Don Shalla of Sacramento prevailed in a great battle with Bud Anderson of Carmichael for third. Marshel Meadows of North Highlands finished fifth.

Clovis’ Skyler Schoppe evened the score in the Jr. Late Models competition, winning his second 25-lap main event of the year. Schoppe and championship rival Kellen Keller each have two wins this year. Keller held off Sparks, Nevada’s Mia Wright for the second position.
