Some of New York’s first responders are calling for better pay after going four years without a raise.
The union representing paramedics and EMTs is calling on City Hall to improve working conditions for those saving lives and responding to emergencies across the five boroughs.
Union president Michael Greco joined “The Rush Hour” on Friday to talk more about this.
A City Hall spokesperson responded, saying: “We continue to be in negotiations with the EMS union and remain fully committed to good-faith bargaining at the table. The Mamdani administration values the vital, life-saving work that our EMS members perform for New Yorkers every single day. We look forward to continuing our productive discussions to reach a fair and sustainable outcome that supports these dedicated first responders while remaining fair to City taxpayers.”
