Local nonprofit helps children get eye exams

August is National Eye Exam Month.

The local nonprofit Helen Keller International aims to help underserved youth in New York and elsewhere get their eyesight screened.

Tonya Suer, the regional program manager for the vision program at Helen Keller International, joins “Weekends on 1” to discuss it.
