The Dallas Mavericks have yet to officially release their 2025 preseason schedule, but multiple matchups have been revealed through their opponents’ announcements.
The Oklahoma City Thunder have listed an Oct. 6 preseason game against the Mavericks at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. This will complete a back-to-back following their Oct. 5 opener against the Charlotte Hornets in Charleston, South Carolina. The Fort Worth game is listed on ticketing platforms with a to-be-determined tipoff time and marks one of Dallas’ rare appearances in the city.
The Los Angeles Lakers also included a matchup with the Mavericks in their official preseason schedule. That game is set for Oct. 15 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with tipoff scheduled for 9:00 p.m. CT. The neutral-site game could feature Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg and former Dallas superstar Luka Dončić, now with the Lakers.
As of July 27, these are the only preseason games involving the Mavericks that have been publicly listed. Dallas has not yet released its full preseason slate.
The league announced earlier this month that the Mavericks will play a regular-season game in Mexico City on Nov. 1 against the Detroit Pistons in addition to those preseason contests.
The game, part of NBA Mexico City Game 2025, will take place at Arena CDMX and coincide with Día de Muertos celebrations. The event marks the NBA’s 34th game in Mexico and will feature themed court designs and in-arena activations.
It will be the Mavericks’ eighth game in Mexico and the Pistons’ third. Tickets went on pre-sale July 9–10, with general sales opening July 11. The game will be broadcast across Mexico, Latin America, and more than 200 countries and territories.
Additional preseason and regular-season games for Dallas are expected to be announced later this summer.
