A Maricopa County eviction diversion pilot program plans to launch by the end of August.
The program aims to help county residents who have fallen behind on rent and face possible eviction.
“The pilot will consist of landlord engagement and rental assistance focused on ZIP codes with the highest rates of eviction,” Phoenix Human Services Director Jacqueline Edwards told a Phoenix subcommittee last month.
