PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man has been arrested and is accused of trafficking methamphetamine and fentanyl from Phoenix to New Mexico, according to New Mexico authorities.
Jason Tobey was wanted in Catron County, New Mexico, after being found with 75 tablets in March that later tested positive for fentanyl. A summer-long investigation revealed that Tobey was allegedly trafficking drugs between Phoenix and New Mexico.
Authorities used technology to track Tobey’s movements and Arizona DPS officials arrested him after a short chase near Eagar on Thursday, officials said.
Aside from being wanted in New Mexico, Tobey had warrants in Maricopa, Apache, Navajo, Yavapai and Coconino counties, authorities said.
He is facing several charges, including evading with a motor vehicle and possession.
