When officers arrived at the apartment complex, police said they encountered an individual who was hesitant to communicate with them; at that time, at least one officer shot the person, according to the release.
Page died at the scene. It is still unclear if he was the initial 911 caller, police said.
Officers that discharged their weapons will be placed on administrative leave and the Texas Rangers will lead the criminal investigation into the shooting, according to Matthew Spillane, a spokesperson for the Haltom City Police Department.
