ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The Chicago White Sox added to their bullpen overnight by acquiring right-hander Huascar Brazobán from the New York Mets for minor-league pitchers Zach Franklin and Gabe Davis, a source confirmed to the Tribune.
Brazobán is 5-2 with a 2.56 ERA in 46 games (six starts) this season. He has 49 strikeouts and 23 walks in 52 2/3 innings.
Brazobán, 36, has a 3.49 ERA and 262 strikeouts in 258 innings during 214 career games (nine starts) over five major-league seasons with the Miami Marlins (2022-24) and Mets (24-26).

Franklin has a 4.37 ERA in 33 appearances (one start) this season for Triple-A Charlotte. Davis had a combined 5.81 ERA in 18 starts at High A Winston-Salem (eight starts) and Double-A Birmingham (10 starts) in 2026.
The American League Central-leading Sox have been active as the trade deadline approaches. The deal for Brazobán comes after the Sox acquired starter Luis Castillo from the Seattle Mariners on Saturday. Castillo is slated to make his Sox debut on Thursday in Boston.
