SCHERTZ, Texas — The Schertz Police Department rescued multiple abandoned animals from a vacant home on Sunday.
Officers discovered an abandoned home at the 10600 block of Hillbrooke Drive with numerous dogs and cats inside living in distressing conditions and in need of immediate medical attention.
“This incident is part of an active and ongoing investigation,” said the Schertz Police Department. Authorities are working diligently to determine the circumstances surrounding the abandonment.
The Schertz Animal Control Division took custody of the animals to ensure they received treatment, care, and shelter.
