A series of seven armed robberies in a more than one-week span were recently reported in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood, police said.

According to authorities, in each incident, one to three suspects approached the victim, displayed a gun and demanded items. The suspects took property from the victims before fleeing on foot or in a vehicle, possibly a dark-colored four-door sedan.

All seven robberies were reported between July 18 and 26:

  • July 18 – 7:41 a.m. – 2400 block of East 78th Street
  • July 18 – 8:55 a.m. – 7700 block of South Marquette
  • July 19 – 1 p.m. – 2500 block of South East 77th Street
  • July 20 – 9:44 a.m. – 7700 block of South Kingston Avenue
  • July 25 – 7:30 a.m. – 2400 block of East 78th Street
  • July 25 – 12:10 p.m. – 7800 block of South Shore Drive
  • July 26 – 7 a.m. – 2500 block of East 79th Street
