A woman is suing a Houston strip club that has been accused of running Hustlers-type schemes in the past, after she was allegedly assaulted by security.
In a civil suit filed with the Harris County District Clerk in June, a woman has sued PoleKatz and Houston KP LLC, the club’s parent company, after an alleged altercation with a security guard resulted in the plaintiff being thrown onto the concrete outside, causing injuries. The woman is seeking damages of upwards of $250,000. The club has officially denied all claims.

According to the official complaint, on April 2, 2025, the woman was invited to work at the club located on Westheimer and was working on the premises. The woman got into an altercation with a security guard and claimed she was violently picked up and thrown into a mirror on the wall. She was then forcefully removed from the club, where the same security guard allegedly threw her onto the concrete outside the club’s back entrance.
According to the official complaint, the woman’s belongings were still in the club, and after attempting to reenter to retrieve them, the same security guard was allegedly physical with her once again, causing injury. The petition claims unspecified, long-standing injuries that require continued treatment.
The petition argues the club is responsible for the security guard’s actions, alleging he was acting on behalf of and under the authority of the club and its parent company. The petition names the guard as liable for all damages that were a result of the altercations. The petition also argues that negligent hiring practices and training performed by the club directly resulted in the alleged assaults.
In a response filed on July 18, Houston KP LLC and PoleKatz denied every claim made by the woman, demanding “strict proof” of every account of wrongdoing. The defendants pled for the case to be dismissed.

In a statement sent to Chron, the club’s representing attorney, Al Van Huff, said that the woman was an exotic dancer invited to work at the club and, after beginning to act erratically, was escorted out through the back door by security.
“She then ran around to the front entrance, re-entered the club, and physically attacked the same security guard with her shoe,” Van Huff told Chron. “She was removed from the club a second time. The Houston Police Department responded to the scene, and no charges were filed against anyone.”
Chron has reached out to the plaintiff’s lawyer.
PoleKatz has faced several lawsuits
In February, Chron reported that PoleKatz was accused of running a Hustlers-type scheme that involved targeting and drugging or deliberately overserving alcohol to patrons within the club, then attempting to steal thousands of dollars through various means. The 2019 Jennifer Lopez movie centers on a gang of former adult dancers who come together to use coercion to defraud their affluent Wall Street clientele of enormous sums of money.

Former PoleKatz patrons claimed they were forced to sign receipts and bank documentation after being held in the club for several hours, with some saying they were driven around for hours in black SUVs.

The club has a lengthy history of these kinds of charges. It was mentioned in multiple reports of purported wrongdoing as early as 2014 when it was known as Scores, which is also the name of the club where the actual scandal portrayed in Hustlers occurred.
In 2015, Houston KP LLC was sued for something very similar. According to court documents, a woman was invited as a business invitee, and a female employee of the adult establishment owned by Houston KP LLC struck her violently from behind and continued to assault her while on the ground. The case was dismissed after the plaintiffs stopped pursuing the case.
