Brunch season is in full swing, and Philadelphia’s restaurant scene is answering the call with a wave of new weekend offerings.

Lucky Duck

Lucky Duck opened earlier this year as a charming waterside tavern nestled in the Rivermark Apartments in Northern Liberties—and now, the venue is serving up some early morning fare on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For one, the restaurant is serving a customizable brunch Table Cake (aka a shareable pancake) topped with duck-shaped butter and crunchy cornflakes. Lucky Duck also now serves a breakfast pizza layered with fennel sausage, hash browns, chives, garlic sour cream and a drizzle of maple syrup.

Locals can also order up a Breakfast Burrito stuffed with eggs, carne asada, chimichurri, hash browns, marinated onions, and Cooper Sharp; a Soft Shell Crab Benny made with poached eggs, Old Bay Alabama white sauce and hollandaise; and French Toast à la Mode topped with berry compote ice cream, cherries jubilee, streusel, and whipped cream. The venue is also offering up the Hair of the Hog—a bourbon cocktail crafted with Guinness caramel, orange cordial, and candied bacon, and the Grey Gardens, a sipper infused with Earl Grey tea.

Forsythia

After a bit of a brunch hiatus, early morning dining is back at Forsythia. Available Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., brunch gets a refined French-inspired treatment here with dishes like chilled oysters topped with tart cherry–black pepper mignonette, and fluke crudo dressed with gooseberry verjus and fennel pollen. Heartier options include a triple-seared rib eye with eggs and béarnaise, and a classic French omelet filled with sweet corn, piquillo peppers, chives, and Comté. Those with a sweet tooth can also order the pain perdu, made with black cardamom brioche and topped with cherry jam and rum maple syrup.

The drink menu features brunch staples like mimosas and Bloody Marys alongside inventive cocktails like an Earl Grey-infused espresso martini dubbed the My Name Is Earl, and the Benny Kush, a mix of beet- and carrot-infused gin, ginger liqueur, honey tarragon, and lemon. Reservations are available via Resy.

Percy Diner & Bar

This retro-themed eatery serves brunch favorites every day of the week (and all day long), so all you have to do is choose what time to make your reservation.

After a rebrand earlier this year, diners can now indulge with bites like a Biscuit & Gravy Benny (with a base of brown butter biscuits), a Breakfast Burrito (stuffed with chorizo, eggs, salsa verde, crema potatoes and black beans), a Tuna Melt (served Philly-style on a pretzel bagel) and a Wings & Waffle dish (their own play on the classic chicken & waffles favorite).

Percy also offers classic early morning sides, deviled eggs, a Breakfast Sando (with pork roll), a Philly Grand Slam plate (think eggs, breakfast meat, potatoes and toast), a turkey sandwich served on marble rye dubbed “The Rachel”, along with other savory bites. And to finish things off on a sweet note, locals can order up a double chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream, French toast sticks and their After School Sundae, which features peanut butter and strawberry swirled ice cream.

Bar-wise, breakfast sippers can order up a Devil Bloody Mary, Bellini, espresso martini or other fun signature cocktails.

Mod Spuds

The new jacket potato spot from Chef Ange Branca and the team behind Kampar opened its first brick-and-mortar on South Street in May, and now locals can get a taste of Scottish brunch in Philly. House-made tattie scones (potato pancakes) are the base for everything, including breakfast sandwiches, with options like a fried jammy egg, grilled tomatoes, cheese, meat and sambal white sauce, or a smoked salmon pairing with cream cheese and scallions.

The Full Scottish Breakfast, on the other hand, features Lorne sausage, black pudding, ham, haggis or skirlie, baked beans, eggs and grilled tomatoes. Those looking for something lighter can opt for the Strawberries + Cream, which pairs house-made strawberry jam and whipped cream.

Brunch is available every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until sold out or 2 p.m.
