Fitzpatrick, 27, won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans alongside his brother, Matt, and ever since then he has proven that he belongs at the very highest level of the game.
Meanwhile, Koivun recorded his first ever PGA Tour title two weeks ago at the 3M Open in what was only his third start as a professional.
Jackson Koivun is an absolute superstar in the making and he is already turning heads on the PGA Tour.

Koivun’s ultimate ambition is to become the world’s number one golfer, and he certainly has the talent required to achieve that goal.
The 21-year-old is already making serious waves on the PGA Tour, with numerous elite players speaking very highly of him, including the likes of Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele.
Alex Fitzpatrick reveals his thoughts on Jackson Koivun
Fitzpatrick is very familiar with the path that Koivun has taken to the PGA Tour, after the Englishman came through the US collegiate system himself.
The 27-year-old was asked whether he has crossed paths with Koivun, and what he has made of what the 21-year-old has managed to do so far in the game.
“I have not. I saw him on the putting green on Monday. Obviously seems to be an incredible player,“ Fitzpatrick said.

“I don’t think there was anything in college he apparently didn’t win.

“It’s weird, once you’re out of the college game, I feel like I haven’t paid as much attention but obviously you hear about kids like him where if there is anyone that does what he does, as much as he’s a great golfer, I heard he’s a nice kid, which I think is the more important thing.
“Yeah, good luck to him. He’s obviously an amazing player and it’ll be exciting to play against him.“
What Brandt Snedeker said about Jackson Koivun’s Presidents Cup chances
Brandt Snedeker will have a big decision to make in a few weeks’ time when naming his Presidents Cup captains’ picks.
He recently responded when asked about Koivun’s chances of making the team.
“I’m not going to discredit a 21-year-old kid who’s played in, I don’t know, four or five events this year just because he’s been in college. I wouldn’t be doing the team the right service, or him the right service,” he said.
“If he goes out and plays great golf in the next four or five weeks and earns a spot and shows that he’s willing to be one of the 12 best players for us, I’d be dumb not to take a really good, hard look at him.”
In my opinion, Koivun has to be on Snedeker’s Presidents Cup team.
He possesses an incredible matchplay record as an amateur and giving the 21-year-old some valuable experience ahead of the Ryder Cup next year would be the smart move.
Whether Brandt Snedeker is thinking along those lines remains to be seen, though.
