Columbus indie duo Bird and Byron advances on “America’s Got Talent” ahead of Aug. 11 round

An indie duo with central Ohio roots is making a run on one of TV’s biggest stages.

Bird and Byron, originally from Columbus, have advanced past the audition stage on “America’s Got Talent” this season. The pair grew up in New Albany and now live in Nashville.

Their next “America’s Got Talent” appearance is in the callback round on Aug. 11.

Bird and Byron also have a hometown show scheduled at A&R Music Bar on Dec. 11. The duo is also connected with the Kids Mental Health Foundation at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
