CHICAGO (WLS) — A landmark Loop office building is a step closer to being partially converted into a data center.
The Permit Review Committee of the Commission on Chicago Landmarks signed off on the plan on Thursday.

It would transform the lower half of the 12-story office building at 300 West Adams Street into a data center.
The approval comes despite pushback from a preservationist group.
The full commission will now review the proposal.
