HOUSTON – Support our interns by streaming their self-produced newscast this Sunday, August 9, at 2 p.m. on KPRC 2+!
Interns Ava Popovits and Zion Webb will be anchoring the newscast with their own content.
Ava has accumulated over 245,000 views on her community reporter Instagram (@avapopreports), covering the Spring Branch area.
Zion appeared on NBC Nightly News after covering breaking news where a car flew off an overpass onto the Southwest Freeway. He also covers sports and the Cypress community on Instagram (@zionwebbtv).
Intern Meteorologist Alex Alexander will be giving his forecast for the back-to-school week.
Alex has been working hard with KPRC 2’s meteorologists. He posts his weather content on Instagram (@wxalexalexander)
The newscast is co-produced by Juliana Russell and Fatima Valdez.
Juliana Russell has been working hard behind the screens by helping the producers with the dayside shows. She has also accumulated a following on social media for her community reporting in the Fort Bend and Katy area.
Fatima Valdez has helped co-produce the 5 p.m. show and written stories for the dayside newscast shows.
