CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – Three tornaodes touched down on Friday afternoon and evening as storms rolled through eastern Iowa.
The first tornado touched down about two miles north of Waverly. The tornado was an EFU (meaning it was not officially rated). The tornado touchdown was verified via social media video sent in to the National Weather Service in Des Moines.

The second tornado touched town in Buchanan County southwest of Fairbank. This was the strongest tornado of the day with the longest track and caused EF-2 damage.
