Pebble Beach Company changes Tour d’Elegance route due to Timber Fire
MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. —
The Pebble Beach Company announced that it will change the route for the annual Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance due to the ongoing Timber Fire in Big Sur.

The tour has been an annual tradition since 1998 and is scheduled for Thursday. Organizers said Tuesday that they have modified the traditional Tour d’Elegance route.
The alternate route will remain in the Pebble Beach and Monterey area, but organizers have not released additional details about the new course.
The Tour d’Elegance ordinarily starts in Pebble Beach, travels along 17-Mile Drive and past The Lodge before heading down the Big Sur coastline and returning to Pebble Beach.
“This decision was made to protect spectators and participants and give first responders space to conduct their essential work,” the Pebble Beach Company said. “Our thoughts are with the Big Sur community during this challenging time.”
