Scarborough’s Hollow is set to make its return to Waxahachie this fall. Kicking off this September, the festival will transform the area into a 16th-century village and fantasy festival. Recognized at the 21st Annual Renaissance Festival Awards as the Favorite FaeryFantasy Festival, Scorborough’s Hollow will feature over a month of artisan markets, lively pubs, fantasy folklore, and era-appropriate performances.
The 2026 expansion of the festival introduces more live entertainment and interactive experiences than in previous years. Guests will discover highly immersive environments filled with artisan shopping and seasonal culinary offerings.

From bustling village streets to magical gathering places, the festival grounds are meticulously designed to ensure that visitors encounter new sights and attractions throughout the day and deep into the night.
Throughout the day, roaming characters play out an interactive storyline between the magical Three Sisters and a dark force named Lucian. Wear family-friendly fantasy, autumn, or Renaissance attire to blend right into the village atmosphere.

“Scarborough’s Hollow isn’t just another seasonal attraction,” said Veronica Castelo, general
manager of Southwest Festivals, producer of Scarborough Renaissance Festival and
Scarborough’s Hollow in a press release.
“It’s an immersive fantasy world where guests become part of the story. Every visit leads to a new discovery, every character has a tale to tell, and every visit offers something different to explore. We wanted to create an experience where people can escape reality for a day and step into a magical world they’ll want to visit again and again.”

The festival will feature special themed events throughout the run, including ASL interpretation for Deaf Awareness Day, Halloween trick-or-treating with a costume contest, and a Día de los Muertos closing celebration featuring mariachi music and a community ofrenda. Visitors upgrade their experience with optional paid attractions like the Blackthorn Haunted Castle, a 3D fun house, a cemetery scavenger hunt, and guided wine or beer tastings.
The Scarborough’s Hollow festival runs from September 26 – November 1, 2027 at 2511 FM 66 in Waxahachie. Each day of the festival, Scarborough’s Hollow will be open from 1 pm – 9 pm. Tickets start at $29.70 for adults, and $16.50 for children between the ages of 5 and 12. Tickets are presently available directly through the event website.
