The ATP rankings have been updated once again after events in Washington D.C., Umag and Kitzbuhel.

Alex de Minaur beat Alejandro Davidovich Fokina to win the Washington Open title, in what was a heartbreaking defeat for the Spaniard who had three championship points.

While in Umag, an Italian player who has now won more titles than Jannik Sinner in 2025 took victory, as Luciano Darderi won his second title in as many weeks.

This is similar to the situation in Kitzbuhel, as Alexander Bublik continued his strong form to win his third title of the 2025 season.

All of these tournaments have had big impacts on the ATP rankings, but it is not just the champions who have been rewarded.

Many of the top 10 players did not compete over the last week, but Wimbledon champion Jannik Sinner still remains the clear world number one, sitting 3,430 ranking points ahead of Carlos Alcaraz.

There are three movers inside the top 10 of the ATP rankings, including Washington Open champion De Minaur, who has now climbed five places back up to world number eight.

De Minaur’s career-high ranking is world number six, which he achieved in July last year.

One player who is now at a career-high ranking is Ben Shelton, despite losing to Davidovich Fokina in the Washington Open semifinals.

Shelton has moved one space up the ATP rankings this week to a new position of world number seven.

ATP Ranking Player Total Ranking Points 1 Jannik Sinner 12,030 2 Carlos Alcaraz 8,600 3 Alexander Zverev 6,030 4 Taylor Fritz 5,135 5 Jack Draper 4,650 6 Novak Djokovic 4,130 7 Ben Shelton (Up 1) 3,520 8 Alex de Minaur (Up 5) 3,335 9 Holger Rune 3,250 10 Lorenzo Musetti (Down 3) 3,195

While they are not in the top 10, other champions Bublik and Darderi have also been rewarded for their back-to-back title victories.

Bublik has moved five places up the rankings to world number 25, solidifying his position as a seed for the US Open.

Although Darderi is not currently in a seeded position for the US Open, he is not far away after jumping 11 places up to world number 35.

Who is currently in position to qualify for the ATP Finals?

It is not just the ATP rankings that are of importance, with the race to the year-end ATP Finals also hotting up.

Despite Sinner having a huge lead at the top of the ATP rankings, it is actually Roland Garros champion Alcaraz who leads the race, and he has actually already qualified for the ATP Finals in Turin later this year.

Sinner is not too far behind, with there then a significant gap down to third spot where Novak Djokovic sits.

Position in race to ATP Finals Player Ranking points earned in 2025 1 Carlos Alcaraz (Qualified) 7,540 2 Jannik Sinner 6,000 3 Novak Djokovic 3,380 4 Alexander Zverev 3,290 5 Jack Draper 2,940 6 Lorenzo Musetti 2,620 7 Taylor Fritz 2,575 8 Alex de Minaur 2,545

After winning his first title this year at the Washington Open, De Minaur now holds the final qualifying spot.

Although Shelton is not in those top eight places, he is not far behind in ninth and is just 125 ranking points behind De Minaur.
