Having looked at the offense already, today we’ll take a look at the competition on the defensive side of the ball. Spring practice evaluations made the probable starters a lot clearer than they were heading into the spring, but we should still see some good competition.
Safety – Coach Cory Peoples returns starters Clayton Powell-Lee and Omar Daniels but the competition for backups in the rotation looks to be wide open. Talent is there but it is young and inexperienced. There is also the possibility that a player or two could be moved from corner to safety.
