Samsung has announced its 2027 Odyssey gaming monitor lineup at Gamescom 2026. The range includes four models, from a 27-inch Fast IPS display running at up to 1,100 Hz to a 49-inch QD-OLED with a 720 Hz Dual Mode.

The lineup consists of the Odyssey OLED G9 G95SJ, OLED G8 G80SJ, OLED G7 G75SJ and G6 G60H. Three models use OLED panels, while the G6 uses Fast IPS and targets the highest refresh rate.

49-inch QD-OLED reaches 720 Hz

The OLED G9 uses Samsung Display’s fifth-generation QD-OLED panel with Penta Tandem technology and an RGB Stripe subpixel layout. It runs at 5120 × 1440 and 360 Hz, but Dual Mode can reduce the resolution to 2560 × 720 and raise the refresh rate to 720 Hz. Samsung also claims up to 1,300 nits peak brightness in a 3% window and a 0.03 ms GtG response time.

The 32-inch OLED G8 uses the same generation of QD-OLED technology but adds three operating modes. It supports 4K at 360 Hz, QHD at 520 Hz and Full HD at 680 Hz. This model also gets DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20, USB-C with 98 W Power Delivery, KVM, DisplayHDR TrueBlack 600 and support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible.

Samsung is also adding the 42-inch OLED G7, its first 42-inch 16:9 curved OLED gaming monitor. The display combines a 3840 × 2160 resolution with a 165 Hz refresh rate and 1000R curvature. Unlike the G9 and G8, Samsung has not announced a lower-resolution high-refresh Dual Mode for this model.

Odyssey G6 specification increased to 1,100 Hz

The 27-inch Odyssey G6 G60H now reaches 1,100 Hz in HD mode, up from the 1,040 Hz specification Samsung announced ahead of CES 2026. Its native QHD mode still runs at up to 600 Hz. The monitor uses a Fast IPS panel with a rated 1 ms response time and is scheduled to become available globally in the second half of 2026.
