Thrifty San Antonians — a new treasure trove for pre-owned fashion is opening on the city’s Northside as one chain makes its mark in Central Texas. Here’s what we know.
Thrift at the Warehouse — the secondhand clothing chain you may recognize for its zebra-striped location near the Pearl — recently announced its fourth location in San Antonio. In an Instagram post, the store said, “yup! thrift @ the warehouse is officially coming to UTSA!!! we’ve been sitting on this one for a minute + we can FINALLY tell y’all … for now, just know your new favorite place to thrift is about to be a whole lot closer. see you soon, roadrunners!”
MySA reached out and learned some more details about the new location. According to the chain, “the 7,000 square foot space will be stocked with curated clothing spanning Y2K, alternative, vintage, streetwear, and more.” If it’s anything like the Pearl location, expect to find clothing grouped by like styles and aesthetics, making it easy to find boho-chic, flowy items in one place and your 2000s-inspired skater ‘fits in another. Thrift at the Warehouse is also known for its “fill a bag” events where customers are able to buy a bag for $15, dig through piles of vintage garments and fill the bag up with as many clothes that will fit.
The new store will take over the former home of Fitness 365 on Bandera Road, a two-story space that founder Tony Marlowe (the self-crowned “Thrift King”) flipped in an Instagram reel. In the post, Marlowe said premium vintage items and a lounge section will be on the second floor. Meanwhile, curated finds will be on the ground floor. Mapping the drive out, it looks like the Bandera Road store is only a 12-minute drive from the main UT San Antonio campus.
In San Antonio, Thrift at the Warehouse has three other locations: a clothing store on Camden Street near the Pearl and another on East Ramsey Road near North Star Mall. The third location is Furniture at the Warehouse, a secondhand home decor store near IKEA in Live Oak. There are also two Thrift at the Warehouse stores in Austin, which can be found on South Congress Avenue and West 34th Street, where it opened in late 2025.
“Our vision is to create a place where people can find clothing that reflects their personality and enjoy the discovery that makes thrifting special,” Marlowe said in a statement. “By giving customers a place to both shop and sell their preloved clothing, we’re creating an experience the community can help shape what someone brings in today could become someone else’s favorite piece tomorrow.”
Thrift at the Warehouse’s website lists a September 1 opening date for the Bandera location, though it seems the store hasn’t opened yet. Still, San Antonio’s latest thrift hot spot will debut soon. According to the chain, the new store will operate daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. once it opens.
