JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Duval County Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland is encouraging voters to request a vote-by-mail ballot ahead of the 2026 General Election.
Voters can call 904-255-VOTE (8683) to make a request by phone or visit the Supervisor of Elections Office at 105 E. Monroe St. in Jacksonville to pick up a ballot in person.
Any eligible registered voter can request a vote-by-mail ballot for a specific election or for all elections through the next general election. After the next general election, voters will need to submit a new request if they plan to vote by mail.
Vote-by-mail ballots may be sent to a voter’s legal residence address, permanent mailing address or a temporary address.
What voters need to request a ballot by phone
To request a vote-by-mail ballot over the phone, voters must provide:

Full name

Date of birth

Florida driver’s license or ID number, or the last four digits of their Social Security number — whichever can be verified in election records

Current mailing address, if different from their residential address

The election or elections for which the ballot is being requested
Key deadline
Voters should note that ballots cannot be forwarded. The deadline for the Supervisor of Elections Office to receive a vote-by-mail ballot request for the General Election is 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026.
