In the first hour of the show, we talk with Paul Furrh, CEO of Lone Star Legal Aid, who discusses the Trump administration’s latest budget proposal aiming to eliminate funding for the Legal Services Corporation, which is the backbone of free civil legal aid for millions of low-income Americans.
Also, John Rumpler, Clean Water Director and Senior Attorney at Environment America, breaks down the bacteria levels of Texas’s beaches and how often the water is tested.
Then, in the show’s second hour, Dr. Courtney Standlee, Interim Director of the Mosquito and Vector Control Division at Harris County Public Health, talks about West Nile Virus and how Harris County is tracking and responding to the virus.
