A popular energy drink is being recalled in six states, including Wisconsin, after it was found that cans mistakenly contain vodka.

According to an announcement from the Food and Drug Administration, High Noon, which is known for its spiked seltzers, is recalling two production lots of High Noon Beach Variety packs because some include cans labeled as Celsius Astro Vibe Energy Drink actually contain vodka seltzer alcohol.

The cans, the announcement said, are mistakenly labeled as Celsius Astro Vibe Energy Drink, Sparkling Blue Razz Edition with a silver top.

Consumption of the liquid in the cans will result in “unintentional alcohol ingestion,” the company said.

The FDA says the recall initiated after the company discovered that a shared packaging supplier mistakenly shipped empty Celsius energy drink cans to High Noon.

According to officials, the labeling error impacts two special lots of High Noon Beach Variety12-packs with certain lot codes that can be found here. Each lot code is printed on the bottom on the can, the FDA said.

Those lots were shipped to distributors in Florida, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Virginia and Wisconsin, the FDA said. From there, the products were sold in retailers in Florida, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia and Wisconsin.

According to the FDA, the products were shipped between July 21, 2025 and July 23, 2025. No illnesses or adverse events have been reported related to the labeling error, according to the company.

Consumers are also encouraged to make sure any Sparkling Blue Razz Celsius Astro Vibe energy drinks do not contain the specific lot codes in the notice before drinking them.

“As a reminder, consumers are advised to dispose of the Celsius Astro Vibe Energy Drink, Sparkling Blue Razz Edition silver lid cans with the impacted lot codes and not consume the liquid,” the announcement said.

Those who have purchased the variety packs or mislabeled Celsius drinks are advised to contact High Noon Consumer relations, at consumerrelations@highnoonvodka.com to get more information on next steps, including refunds, the FDA said.

In a statement posted to its website, Celsius says it was taking the recall seriously and “addressing it proactively in the interest of consumer safety.”

“Celsius was not involving in the production, filling, distribution or the affected products,” the statement said. It went on to say it was investigating the incident.

“This recall does not involve any Celsius products, only aluminum cans bearing our artwork,” the statement added.

High Noon did not immediately respond to NBC Chicago’s request for comment.
