PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A Valley man has been sentenced to several years in prison and ordered to pay back thousands of dollars for graffitiing numerous properties and businesses around Phoenix.
Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell said that Jordan Quimayousie, 34, was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison for over 750 graffiti incidents.

Quimayousie pleaded guilty to one count of criminal damage. He was ordered to pay over $58,000 back to the City of Phoenix, the amount the city spend on clean-up. He must also pay an additional $4,200 to cover damage to an apartment complex.
Between January 2023 and October 2024, Quimayousie vandalized properties on Phoenix’s 19th Avenue corridor, between Indian School and Camelback roads. He spray painted his tag on bus stops, fire hydrants, sidewalks, a school, church and multiple apartment buildings and businesses.

Deputy County Attorney Mischa Hepner, who prosecuted this case, found out about the case through community meetings, where neighbors voiced their concerns. Residents said the suspect was “tagging the area faster than the city could make repairs.”
“This case highlights the power of a community working together to make our neighborhoods better,” Mitchell said in a statement. “Residents spoke up, Phoenix Police Community Action Officers did a thorough investigation, and MCAO’s prosecutor made sure this defendant was appropriately punished and made to pay back taxpayer dollars spent cleaning up his crimes.”
