What to Know

  • A FIRST ALERT was in effect for the Philly region, surrounding suburbs, parts of South Jersey and parts of Delaware on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from noon through 8 p.m. for severe storms that brought heavy rain, flooding and tornado warnings throughout the region.
  • The storms began in the Lehigh Valley, the Philly region, the surrounding suburbs, and parts of South Jersey and Delaware Thursday afternoon and continued through the evening before moving out late Thursday.
  • The storms caused flooding throughout the region, including two SEPTA stations in Philly.
  • After the storm, conditions will be beautiful Friday into the weekend with highs in the lowed to mid-80s, plenty of sunshine and less humidity.
