After a rather cool and rainy Thursday, mother nature is treating central New York to a beautiful weekend with the chance of smoky skies returning Sunday.
High pressure replacing yesterday’s system, ushering in some cool and dry Canadian air to start the weekend.
Northerly winds over the next couple days could escort some lingering smoke from the Canadian wildfires our way starting Saturday night.
Notice the thickening smoke across the northern portion of our viewing area by 8PM Saturday night. Continued northerly winds could make for a hazy Sunday. If you happen to fall in the sensitive range for wildfire smoke, it’s something to keep in mind before running a marathon Sunday.
As of right now, I feel comfortable giving the thumbs up even with the chance of haze through the start of next week!
